Biography

Gene Paul “GP” Villanueva was bitten by the bug back 2006. This was basically his first into digital SLR photography. His love for photography started during the time his first born came out back in 1995. He was handed down a 1983 Nikon FE by his dad and started clicking then on. In 2002, due to the age of his Nikon (Frequently having problems with its metering), he vacillated in shifting to digital. DSLR’s being very expensive at that time, he tried shooting with an Olympus point and shoot. He was satisfied but craved for the intricacies of slr’s. His brother bought a Nikon D40 and he was given a chance to tinker how DSLR’s performed. At that time, his excuse to his wife in buying his dream DSLR was his eldest’s graduation. He went to camerahaus and started to window shop for available entry level DSLR’s. A lot were scrutinized and upon caressing the *ISDS, love was in the air. “You just know it when you have it in your arms” was his description. Two years on the DSLR road, he still clicks his *ISDS, has upgraded to K10d and supplemented his Pentax system with a Nikon D80 maximizing his Nikon lenses.
